Jaxon our black lab friend has some questions, so you may too! We understand you want the VERY best for you pup, and so do we! Below are some of our frequently asked questions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please give us a call or shoot us a text: 916-296-8553!

  • While things have gotten better over the last couple of years, we will continue to take the necessary precautions to keep our team and clients safe and healthy. We use products that help kill the Coronavirus and we deep clean the facility every day. If we hear from our clients in the healthcare world that COVID cases are on the rise, we may ask that clients wear a mask or we’ll keep the lobby open to a minimum of 2-3 people at a time. Thank you for your cooperation. Remember, our team works hard to keep your dogs safe each and every day. Please respect our policy and always be respectful towards them.

  • Want to live guilt free while at work or traveling? Daycare is the greatest thing ever! For you and your dog! In this structured and professional environment, your dog will be able to relax and let loose! Making new dog friends and getting love from our team. Daycare is great for dogs of all ages. Puppies and young dogs learn how to play and respect boundaries, as well as learn how to spend some time alone during nap-time (which is SO helpful for you when you need them to have alone time at home). Older dogs get to walk around, see their buddies, and get lots of love from staff. It’s great for everyone!

  • We typically separate based on size and energy level – creating play yards that are good fit for all different breeds, play-styles, and needs. There are times where we may have a mixed yard of large and small dogs. We get to know your dogs VERY well so we know which dogs are perfect to put together.

  • Not to worry, we have tricks for that! Whether it be a picky eater, a dog that is nervous around people, a dog that doesn’t take medication well – we can handle it.

  • YES! We have staff on-site 24/7 – pups are never left alone. This allows us to be sure the building is the perfect temperature, your pup is sleeping soundly, and everyone feels at home.

  • What we’ve learned in the many, many years spent observing dogs, is that most dogs act differently when their parents aren’t around. (Of course right!?) Which is the best part of this job! Getting to tell parents that their dog played catch today, made a new friend, or gave staff kisses! Things parents have never seen their dog do! Daycare gives dogs the opportunity to be in a neutral environment where they can relax and socialize.

  • We are not breed specific. Every dog will be evaluated (regardless of size or breed) in our yards and with our team to ensure it’s a good fit for everyone. Our primary goal is to keep everyone safe! Your dog, existing client dogs, and staff. If we feel daycare is too stressful or that your dog might need some additional training first, we will let you know.

  • To keep everyone in the facility safe, we offer set drop-off and pick-up times. For an additional fee, we do offer early drop-off and late-pick with notice in advance.

  • We PROMISE you your dog will be fine! We’ve got all the comfy beds, blankets, and toys that your pup will need! They will be socializing and playing most of the day – they are going to sack out!

  • While dogs are in a controlled and supervised environment, there is never a guarantee. With a well trained team and staff in the yard at all times, we are able to have eyes on them during group play. We get to know each and every dog VERY well, which allows us to partner them up with other dogs that they will have fun with. All dogs are interviewed and go through a behavioral test before they can join us.

  • We understand the need to want to know how your pup is doing at all times, especially as a newer client. We are super active on social media and post photos daily. We do our very best to get pics of all the dogs throughout the week so that no one is left out. We also have an overnight specific Adventure Awaits Facebook group where we post photos of our overnight pups – so you can check there. And of course we’ll give you a full report at pick-up. 😊

  • Looking for some additional training? We highly recommend Anna Morey - she’s the best of the best! annathedogtrainer.com

MORE INFO

In addition, dogs go through many phases in their lives and we will always be upfront with you about where your dog is at in their journey. They may go through a phase that requires some training outside of daycare, or we may need to pull back and have them come a couple of days less each week to get some additional rest during a growing period, we may learn that daycare just isn’t a good fit for your pup, or that a senior dog is just over being here - and that’s okay! While this conversation can be frustrating or disappointing for clients - every decision we make is in the very best interest of your pup. (We see them as family too) <3
